We currently have two very large outdoor aviaries for our flock.  One is a 40' x 20' flight housing our male cockatoos.  Our second is a 28' x 30' aviary that houses a mixture of macaws, female, and male cockatoos.  Outdoor enclosures are critical to the health and well being of a parrot.  They love the sunshine, the rain, and the fresh air along with the opportunity to socialize with others of their kind and fly all day, every day!   There is a third stainless steel 10' x  20' aviary currently being constructed to house our remaining cockatoo residents.   In addition to this the indoor facilities include a 30' long playgym and multiple indoor flights.

After working in, for, and with many areas of aviculture for over 20 years including the zoo setting,  in situ conservation work, breeding facilities, rescue organizations, retail pet stores, sanctuaries, parrot welfare organizations, avian veterinarians offices, and training facilities one thing has become clear -  The overall standard of aviculture is quite low.  The expectation for enrichment, training, flocking, flight, vet care, proper diet, and appropriate housing is a confusing jumble of contradictions, excuses, and poor expectations.  We're trying to change this!
